Thousands of photographers, videographers, and marketers have used Cinemagraph Pro for Mac and iOS to create beautiful, engaging living photos shared on Flixel galleries. Today we’re excited to unveil Flixel Stock, which makes Flixel cinemagraphs available for license by brands, journalists, and publishers for the first time. Flixel has partnered with Shutterstock to make its cinemagraphs available on the company’s platform, which currently licenses more than 60 million images and 3 million video clips today.
Flixel brings over 1,000 high-quality cinemagraphs to the one million strong Shutterstock community. This makes it easy to search for, purchase, and use cinemagraphs as you would a stock photo or video for use in TV commercials, digital marketing campaigns, social media posts, and video ads on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
“Flixel’s stunning collection of cinemagraphs will allow brand marketers and advertisers share their stories in new and innovative ways and we are thrilled to partner with them,” said Tom Spota, Shutterstock’s Director of Video Acquisition.
Flixel Cinemagraphs available on Shutterstock were created by Alexandre Miguel, a Portugal-based photographer who was named the Flixel Creator of the Year in 2014. To promote his work with Flixel Stock, Miguel’s collection of cinemagraphs will be featured on the Shutterstock homepage this month. Miguel used Flixel Cinemagraph Pro software to create the world’s largest collection of high-quality cinemagraphs – see more about his work as a cinemagraph artist in this video.
“Our community of videographers and photographers are already creating stunning cinemagraphs, and this is an ideal way for them to make their work commercially available,” said Robert Lendvai, CMO at Flixel. “As this new visual medium grows in popularity with brands and consumers, the demand for stock cinemagraphs is poised to explode.”
