Using Cinemagraphs in Facebook Ads

Quick Tutorial

Sharing your Flixel cinemagraphs on Facebook is easy and effective. With the release of auto-looping videos on Instagram and this week’s Adweek article on Facebook’s interest in cinemagraphs for ads, it’s pretty clear that 2015 will be the year of cinemagraphs for advertising. Follow the steps below and start sharing your cinemagraph ads on Facebook today.

1. Loop your cinemagraph to around 20 seconds, then export your video as an.mp4

2. Go to your Facebook page and add the video into a post

3. You can then add a call to action which appears at the end of the video, such as directing viewers to your website or blog post.

4. Boost for additional views. You can set the budget, establish your audience, and also set the duration of the ad.

5. Post.

TIP: Check the analytics of your post to see how effective and engaging your ad was.

  1. Straight-forward steps & video, thanks... Interesting that 2 years later, cinemagraphs are still way underutilised!
