Earlier this week Flixel was invited to bring our cinemagraph magic to Techweek Toronto 2016 at the official kick-off party. With this being the very first iteration of the conference to take place in our hometown since its creation in 2011, we were excited to build a Flixel Booth where attendees could learn about cinemagraphs and celebrate being a part of a thriving tech community with fellow businesses, investors and enthusiasts.

Surrounded by Toronto’s skyline on Extreme Accelerator’s rooftop patio in the heart of downtown, we kept our booth concept simple: black backdrop, tons of bubbles and capes, and a little bit of imagination. With a few enthusiastic early birds who wanted to jump into the Flixel experience, it wasn’t long before attendees were gathering to watch the Flixel team move from cinemagraph conception to execution right before their eyes, using Cinemagraph Pro on iOS devices. As people began to understand how simple and fun it would be to make their own cinemagraph, many took flight on that beautiful summer evening.
