As you might have heard, Flixel is among the first partners to be integrated directly with the Facebook Profile Expression Kit. Along with five others apps, Cinemagraph Pro for iOS can now be used to easily create a Facebook profile video. We’ve seen some really great profile cinemagraphs from our Flixel community, so we thought we would take the fun of creating your very own personalized cinemagraph to a group who are as obsessed with Facebook profiles as we are.
We headed to Facebook Canada’s headquarters in the heart of downtown Toronto last week to film cinemagraph profile videos for their employees and share tips and tricks on how to get the perfect living photo. Using employees’ mobile devices, a tripod and Flixel Cinemagraph Pro for iOS, we walked each individual through the process from creative to export within a few minutes. We had a blast showing our friends at Facebook how simple it is to make an impact on their social platforms using cinemagraphs. The likes, shares and comments rolled in for cinemagraphs and Cinemagraph Pro from our collaborators as well.
Everyone wanted to carefully craft their motion so it not only reflected their own unique personality, but also differed from their peers and team members. While some picked their prop from our arsenal of balloons, party noisemakers and bubbles, others conceived cinemagraph shots that included personal objects, movement and a few familiar faces from Sesame Street in front of cozy couches and the bright graffiti-covered walls found across the Facebook Canada office. We won’t lie – the snacks from their office cafeteria were delicious, but we were more thrilled that our new friends were as engaged with the process of making their cinemagraphs as much as they were with the outcome.
